Location with huge balcony overlooking rocky beach.
Bath was more like large shower tray or floor sink- impossible to sit in it.Breakfast was coffee and orange juice + 1 choice from the cafe menu. All other items chargeable seperately. Worst breakfast during 17 day trip to Spain /Portugal.Room very basic -no air-con.

We had a blast playing table football in the lounge and the wifi was pretty decent too. Plus, it's right next to a golf course, so if you're into that kind of thing, you won't be bored at all. The staff were super friendly and made us feel really welcome. a top spot for a fun getaway with friends!
The only thing we'd ask for is a better nightlife scene around the hotel. We're young and love to party, so it would've been awesome if there were more options for nightclubs or bars nearby.

We had a fantastic time at this friendly, family-run hotel right by the beach. The location was perfect, with the soothing sound of the waves right outside our window. The hotel itself was immaculately clean, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Despite the small rooms, we found them to be comfortable and cozy. The English-speaking staff were incredibly friendly and always ready to assist us. The hotel food was excellent, and we especially enjoyed the delicious meals at the little hotel restaurant down by the sea. We also appreciated the decent-sized lounge with table football, which provided some fun entertainment during our stay. we had a lovely experience at this hotel and would definitely recommend it for a relaxing Spanish break.

The hotel had a lovely courtyard where we could relax and enjoy some drinks. There were parking spaces available on site, which was very convenient.
The breakfast options were very limited, with only coffee and orange juice included, and everything else charged separately. It was the worst breakfast we had during our entire trip.

The rooms at Hotel El Refugio are amazing! They have a balcony with breathtaking views of the cliffs and sea. I felt like I was in paradise, especially as a nature lover like me.
Personally, I found the telephone in the room to be unnecessary. I didn't use it at all during my stay, and I'm sure many guests are more reliant on their mobile phones nowadays.
